OK, I hold you lot responsible for the price hikes - just been looking ay Sony 777 and 555 es cd players on ebay and the prices are ridiculous (well, out of my reach anyway). They seem to have gone through the roof recently.

Which other cd players would you recommend?
LP12, Ittok, DV10X5, Phono2(twin supply), P50SA , Art Audio Quintet, LS5, SSC, Rega Ela mk1

Arcam made a series of very good players in the late 90's, I still have a CD62t running with a restrained, refined sound. The CD72 and CD92 models had improved power supplies and output stages.

Kenwood DP5090 and DP7090 if you are looking for dynamics and 'balls'. :grin:

Do not buy......Why.....Cause they're fukin ancient, and aint worth the dosh.
