Not plugged in yet, too much to do. The VonHaus work bench (as that is what it is) has been sitting here waiting for over a month, so seeing as I don't trust my soldering until my eyes get back in focus in a couple of days I decided to assemble it. I am doing mechanical and gluing thing over the weekend and finishing two BMUs because the solder points are big and only a few of them.

Doc, what are those nice feet you have installed on your PL71- are they modified Isonoes or Audio Technica feet ?

I forget, it was a couple years back I got them from Dave Cawley. I think they are the same as Marco uses on his Techy. Made minimal sound difference to the point it was really not worth the over £100 they cost, but even I get sucked in occasionally. I have found with the PL71 (unlike the Techy) everything is optimum and a synergy and nothing is worth changing if all is working well. Though they are old now and replacing caps and micro switches will solve any speed stability problems that show up through age.

Those feet look like the Isonoe feet. They are rather pricey for what they claim to do. That Youtube vid has poor sound and doesn't give much clue to the quality.

I know but it is the only one on youtube, just nice to see it working for those who don't know it.

PL71 is a nice TT and the ally feet look rather nice too even if they don't improve performance. I guess they don't make it any poorer either but over £100 is a bit rich. I got some Sorbothane hemispheres from Dave C at the Bristol show last year and they fit perfectly in place of the springs, but again I cannot detect any difference in sound quality, they were only £15 at the show and they appear to isolate the TT from the unit it's on so I can't complain.
