slinger, a piece nice musical satire you've brought here, I am starting to love their style :) Thanks.
Something more listenable ;)

EDIT: Not connected to my topic, but it's incredible. I've heard live performance and was completely stunned. Definitely my favourite Requiem.

Bernard Manning covers The Smiths, and there's not really anything I can add to that except to say that unless you're British and "of a certain age" this probably won't be as amusing to you as it is to me.

Avant-garde acoustic folk music. The more I play this the more I like it.

Brilliant, definitely needs a few listens and more tracks to start being interesting though.

Avant-garde or not...one of my favourite live bands from when I still went to gigs - Hawkwind and a live version of "Sonic Attack" from Stonehenge in '84. :obscene-smokingweed:

And now for something completely different, and beautiful. Harold Budd and Brian Eno's "A Stream With Bright Fish"

More proof that modern pop isn't completely dead (whoever watched Weeds show should get some nice memories back):

Oh yes, I know Tangerine Dream, but only two of their albums - 'Zeit' and 'Phaedra'. Very good ambient stuff, though I don't listen to such music every day :) It's gets with reading a book or studying well, but sitting on my comfy seat and listening to it focused, with my mind blown somewhere by the music, I almost always fall asleep and wake up after it ends :D But for a soundtrack for watching stars or a film - it's perfect.

If you like such stuff I really recommend you Sigur Rós, a post-rock/ambient/film music formation from Iceland. Their debut wasn't the best, but in 1999 they came out with perfect Ágætis byrjun, then continued with 8 more albums and a few EPs, the last being Valtari from this year.

Also an interesting thing about them is that their song Hoppipolla is a main theme of Planet Earth by BBC.

Heading into post-rock side, there was a band called Godspeed You! Black Emperor. They are considered as one of bands from the second wave of postrock (out of three), by many people considered as the last worth-listening wave, as the current third wave isn't innovative at all and is generally worse (which I don't 100% agree with). A something that imo you should enjoy:

And definietly my favourite GY!BE EP:
