Still thinking of tri-amping after hearing how good the A80 Mk2's are. How does the transformer va compare between betweem tri-amping A80's and T.D.S's Richard?

Each A80 (mk1 or 2) has total 280va - so 560va per set, so tri-amp set would be 1680va.

TDS has total of 2000va per amp, so 4000va per set.

A pair of TDS's if you can acomodate the size of them will almost certainly be a lot better than 3 sets of A80's. This is my guess as I have never compared them, but that would be the objective assessment, and I do know what influences the sound quality in NVA amps :ugeek:

I suppose I'd save on speaker cable as well if I went for the TDS's.

That's the way to look at it and Richard will give your money back for the A80's I only have small PMC speakers but the sound with TDS's is incredible and I have not got a NVA pre amp yet

Got to sell the MCX's before I can think about the TDS's. Got to win the lottery before I order the 3 pairs of TDS's :!:

You can't stack them.
