Re: Music on the move
I still have one of these kicking around - Sony D-E330; regarded as a top Discman in its' day.
Good sound, excellent battery life, solid motion protection.
I had at least 4 or 5 different players through the years and this was the best.

And another one that does occasionally get used as an emergency CD-player - Grundig CDP-180
This player isn't too great through headphones but does have a very good direct-line output.
No effective movement protection either.

I'm happy nowadays with my Fiio X3 Mk1

Re: Music on the move
I have managed to transfer mp3 files from my computer using windows media player to my nokia 150 phone. Using headphones the quality is good enough for what i want. Tuned the radio on it to BBC R2 as well. I never bothered with these functions before.

Smart phones. Aren't they just the borg in your pocket ? CD player by Goodmans GC0716RB, cheap n cheerful does the business. Sony walkman WM-EX610 with auto reverse and groove mega bass, still working well for those days when a flashback to the 90's with my tape collection calls.

NVA amps, speakers, interconnects & speaker cables produce the music.
