My opinion, obviously, but Stu mentioning John Bonham reminded me of something I've played more than a few times lately.
This is Heart, covering Stairway to Heaven, with Led Zep looking on, and President Obama getting his groove on, too. Bonzo's son, Jason, is playing the drums on this, and the whole thing gives me goosebumps every time.
Heart with Nancy and Anne Wilson is one of my favourite all-time bands ever. When they started out it was both inspired and heavily influenced by Led Zep.
Wonderful.
Edit - this is so good it brought tears to my eyes. Wow!

I really like the covers the Beatles recorded.
It must not be overlooked that the Beatles cut their teeth as a covers band, playing long sessions in Hamburg.
My favourite cover is probably one of a Beatles song, David Bowie's version of Across the Universe. A totally different interpretation with John Lennon playing on it. They were both probably completely out of it at the time.

I prefer the Rolf Harris version.
He at least did something different with it.
In the current climate, I'd be careful admitting you like anything that Rolf Harris did.
