This why captive mains cable are best.

Re: (in)FAMOUS SLURPS
I think there might be some acoustic truth in this. The things you stick on with blue tac are just a cavity machined in a short piece of metal rod. They could well break up standing waves so you hear a 'difference'. The level 1,2,3,4 is just bullshit to sell you more boxes but it would stand to reason that more of them have a bigger acoustic affect. I'm sure these could be made for pence. How the active device would work I haven't a clue!

Re: (in)FAMOUS SLURPS
Standing waves in music really aren't a problem, for a standing wave to exist it has to be excited, once the excitation is removed the standing wave disappears too. A vanishingly small number of musical notes are sustained long enough, at an appropriate frequency, for a standing wave to develop in a domestic environment. Additionally, the amplitude of a wave in a domestic listening room is such that even if a standing wave were generated it would not be sustained. Anything sold to solve the problem of standing waves is snake oil.

Not expensive but certainly a slurping activity.

What could be more simple for a user to make adjustments to a Rega TT given all the information on-line. More likely make it worse transporting to and from dealer, Especially as it is not advisable to attach the arm weight which they offer to adjust.

Re: (in)FAMOUS SLURPS
Something that will take 10 minutes and they likely used to do for just the cost of any parts needed. And you wait 2 weeks - though that is probably the precursor to offering an 'express' service at £75...
