From the Rolling Stone website:

Neil Young's upcoming album Earth (in stores June 17th) is one of the most unconventional releases in his long catalog: A 98-minute uninterrupted work that features 11 songs from his 2015 tour with Promise of the Real mixed with sounds of the Earth. "Our animal kingdom is well represented in the audience," Young said in a statement. "And the animals, insects, birds, and mammals actually take over the performances of the songs at times."

Blast from the past - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel 'The Human Menagerie'
Still a strikingly idiosyncratic album.

went to see neil young at the o2 greenwich on saturday night
havent seen him since the rust never sleeps tour at hammersmith odeon. he has still got it. his voice is as good as ever and the backing band promise of the real pretty good
but they aint no crazy horse. the sound was pretty amazing for such a huge place only trouble was he played to many songs from the monsanto years all a bit dreary and sub standard
must say i was more impressed with seeing terry reid at the tivoli in wimborne in front of about 200 people as usual teetering from the shambolic to the sublime but always recomended
for a great night

Speaking of Wimborne - I've begun working my way through some challenging King Crimson albums, one at a time and one 'quick' listen after all these years ain't enough by a VERY long way. Enjoying the experience hugely and with a great sound quality from the stereo now I don't believe I had back then.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

As I await the latest CD to arrive from the venerable but wonderful Robin Trower, I've been having a nice day listening to his last two releases, namely:

I adore Robin Trower's playing and now as he is the wrong wide of 70 his style is SO laid back, it's quite beautiful. Don't buy his recent stuff expecting Bridge of Sighs, but be prepared to hear a master at work.
