Re: Your last listen
Pearl Jam is a band that has not really got my attention. The only album I have with them on is Neil Young's 'Mirrorball' where they are effectively his backing group. And that so far has left me with a sort of "where's Crazy Horse?" feeling. Have to give it another listen.
My thanks also for that recommendation Jammy, I had spotted that compilation - time to give it a go.
Note on the Bridge School Concerts. This is an annual fund-raising event organised by Neil Young for a school that cares for children with severe physical handicaps - such as Neil's own son. The problems and joys of raising disabled children is one of the topics he covers in his wonderful autobiography 'Waging Heavy Peace' (along with life, love, dogs, electric cars, model trains and HQ digital audio).

Any fan of Neil Young should get this album. (If they dont already have it).
And if your not a fan of Mr Youngs you should still get it...!!!
Neil Youngs backing band's solo debut album - Its a bute.

Re: Your last listen
about £300 for the vinyl
ordered the CD!
By the way, the bridge street concert has a mighty fine version of Bowie playing heroes.

The one who sounds like Dusty Springfield? Pretty good, the little bit I've heard, my wife loves her.Orc 201267 wrote:Has any one tried rumur

Anyway, FLAC Monkey that I am, I'm currently listening to this..
... I'm on a 30 day free trial of the music streaming site TIDAL. It's like Spotify but in FLAC quality. Impressive SQ but there again I've been pleased with the SQ of the Spotify Premium service too. Not had a proper search for different artists yet, but the searches I've done so far I would say that TIDAL is not quite as comprehensive as Spotify.

Re: Your last listen
I found the same with Qobuz. Excellent FLAC sound quality but a limited range of music - much less than Spotify and twice as expensive.
