As a spare one it makes sense .

However I fear whilst I was recuperating the world as passed me by . The last thing I remember second hand NVA cost no more than £200 .then again a pack of butter was 86 pence in Aldi .

It just seems "off" that he's selling a brand new three-grand pair of amps for £600 each, and that he's selling them singly. Not the normal state of affairs.

Interesting comment that the seller took the amp to NVA and had it checked over personally.
Who was that engineer?

The current owner of the single monoblock contacted us and said they had bought it in an auction. It's pre serial no. days so we don't know it's history. We offered to inspect it and report, but they declined as they did not want to pay the inspection fee. We don't know what spec or how old it is, other than that the packaging is later than December 2019 (but note that we did sell new packaging separately to owners of earlier amps, and the new packaging was included with any upgrades that were sold).

We were contacted by one person who had 'purchased' the monoblock from eBay, but hadn't realised that they would need to buy another monoblock (nor that the old one may be a slightly different spec to the new one) and a pre-amp. They said they were going to cancel the eBay transaction. That may account for why the listing states 'one sold'.

Regarding price, no-one can make an informed decision until they know for sure what is inside it.

That may explain what was bugging me.
Thanks, Paul.

The seller saying that "I also had this amp checked by the company(took it there personally had it seen over by engineer who makes them) first to make sure it works and second to see what model it is, as you can't just open these up." would appear to be a bit of a fib then?.

If we did, I've forgotten (and I'm not trawling through hundreds of invoices to satisfy my (or your) curiosity), so I won't say they are fibbing. They will have the report, if they did have it looked at. Or, Mark may have had a quick look but not charged them which is why I might think we didn't. If an existing customer want s us to look at it, we'll do that for free.

Well the person who bought and then reneged was an idiot , what did he think a mono block was .

And given the current rrp , it’s definitely a bargain
