So what have you got, hifi or not ? For Christmas or otherwise. Or what is on the wish list ?

I bought myself two LED floodlights. That's about as exciting as it gets these days. No hifi, no music in fact bugger all really. I have bought some rather tasty parts for my 4x4 but I dont think they count. On the wish list is a new house, possibly a change of vocation and a life free of clutter and stress.

My Xmas pressies to me were simple:

Genesis mug (been wanting one for ages)

Image

New DAC - SMSL M300se (budget price - smooth performance)

Image

And, on the way a pair of low-price ChiFi Class D monoblocks.
(I can already hear a gnashing of teeth and sharpening of axes as the pundits ready themselves).

:violence-blades:

Oh, got the better half an electric blanket and she's very happy with that.

I got the usual stuff I asked for. Some books I've had on my list, and Amazon gift vouchers to buy my latest fad with, ZOUSZ products. They smell gorgeous (even my 99-year-old mum said I smelt nice during my pre-Christmas visit) and they're excellent quality.
I've bought some ZOUSZ Gold Oud Eau De Parfum and some of the Black Oud beard products they make. Oh, and the obligatory pair of slippers, from mum.

I'm sure you must now have enough class d mono bloks to get some Linn Isobariks and have one on each drive unit  Crack on with the cheap chifi, I think the aim of the game is to have fun.

I'd come round for a smell Paul if you weren't so far away. Slippers - that reminds me of somebody I know who couldn't get one of their slippers on properly one day. Turned out there was a dead mouse at the toe end

No new gear for me in 2023 apart from a DAB+ radio and that was only because the DAB one became obsolete. There was no new hifi gear in 2022 either excluding accessories, oak speaker stands and Iso Pucks. Seems an itch has finally been scratched and it is all about the music now.

I had £50 in a card from my mum. Ordered the new Analogue Productions SACD of John Prine's 1st album.

Best gift was a few Los Straitjackets LP’s. Wife bought me a jumper. I hate jumpers, but she likes them. Bless her.

And cheese…! I got a lot of cheese. I think they’re trying to finish me off!

I give generously, to receive artery hardening delicious cheese!

I actually bought myself a load of new cheeses to try, and so far the Chaource is winning by a country mile. It's smooth, velvety, and delicious.

Have you heard "Messer Chups"? Might be one for you.
