PJ Harvey

Not an artist I have listened to- I know I can listen via streaming but wanted album recommendations rather than blindly following.
Cheers

I don't think she's actually done a duff album.

Dry and Rid of Me are worth buying. In the original versions.
Everything else is Loudness Wars and therefore will feel like a let down and a sell-out after you've listened to those first two albums.

Thinking about it, if you're streaming, you could start off with the most compressed albums and work your way up to the first two albums as a stunning finale to your PJ music festival.

I tend to have one band music festivals for background listening when I'm doing manual work. Normally I start with the first album and go forwards from there. But I tend to be more into 1970's stuff so that production quality doesn't come into the running order as much. So that this year I've had a Doobie Brothers Fest, a Heep of Uriah's Fest, a Grand Funk Railroad Fest, a Crosby Stills & Others Fest, a Yes Fest.

The album I find a demanding but rewarding listen and absolutly brilliant is Let England Shake.
