"Digital" Interconnects

What's best, Optical via toslink or S/P Dif via Coax?

Planning on buying a DAC to partner my Cambridge Audio 640C ... Probably the Dac Magic 200M to take advantage of the MQA ... Although the CXN for another £300 is tempting ...

's OK. Paul has answered my question ... One short SSC going to be ordered for CD to DAC, and possibly a longer one for TV to DAC (If TV has Digital Out :D )

Many TV's have only optical digital output. A high-quality optical lead I can really recommend is this:

I tried out a QED Reference Optical Quartz cable between my Volumio/Pi4/Digi2 Pro and my DAC and it improved things significantly.

In fact, I liked it so much that I bought the equivalent digital co-ax cable (Reference Digital Audio 40) to hook up my Audiolab 6000N streamer alongside it.

Hmmm, so DAC Magic 200M arrived and plugged in. Sources TV, CD, fire TV stick, Blue ray player all sound good. Will be better when the new interconnects arrive.

Now thinking of upscaling... Without the price tag of an MScaler 😱😱😱
