One, bloody, track!!!

Unread post by slinger »

Let's sort of turn the "Bands you like every album they ever did" on its head.

What's the one almost-great album that is ruined by one, single track? (in your opinion, obviously)

For me, it's Bridge Over Troubled Water and "Baby Driver". I really can't stand it, and it ruins a brilliant album, full of S&G classics for me.

Unfortunately too many albums are one good track, several mediocre ones and a couple of complete duds. I wish it were as simple as identifying albums with just one let-down track.

Things were better before CD with the 40-50 minute limit. Too many fillers since.

Not even 1 track, but part of a track. There are parts of Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick that would have been better left on the cutting floor.

Streaming and "Self Production / publishing" has made it so much worse IMO

Very true and it is down to how the mass market listens to music.
