Can't say that I've heard a Wire album after '154' (which is great).

I'm afraid that I will have to add Genesis,
even though some albums (Revelation & We Can't Dance) are rather patchy.

Which makes sense, I haven't heard every AC/DC lp, but I don't mind those I have heard.

I guess some artists when they reach a certain age/stage they just get into a comfortable groove with no real lows or highs.

I'd put the current incarnations of Deep Purple and Hawkwind in this category. Likewise Echo & The Bunnymen post Evergreen, Wire post Send.

I think Killers is a case of second album syndrome, tracks not considered good enough for the first album. D'iano was fired afterwards and the classic Number of the beast followed. Iron Maiden have been very consistent since the turn of the century following the return of Dickinson and Smith.

Love the early Bon Scott stuff, which is so much more blues oriented than the later albums with Brian. Having said that I also love the stuff from Back in Black onwards. ... Black ice without Malcolm was actually a surprise as to how good it was ... Rock or bust, not so much

I don't think Birch would have let them get away with that for Killers. If he did I'd hate to think just how bad stuff was to not get onto the track list 😂🤣😂

The last two albums, Book of souls and Senjutsu suffer from awful mixing and production. Sounds like they had the band play in a toilet with mattresses on the door, and mic'd up outside!🤬 Totally muddy and a sign that you should never, ever, EVER, let a bass guitarist anywhere near a mixing desk!! 😂🤣 ... Kevin Shirley isn't a great help either! It's a real shame as the songs are cracking
