I love Suzanne Vega.
Actually I do the same. When a WOW moment comes and the music suddenly sounds so much better, then I will slam on some of the Hifi classics to hear what I have been missing before.
My choices are 'Crime of the Century' and 'I Robot'.

Communiqué is another reference track so
I was thinking of some Leonard Cohen rather than Ms Vega!!

I thought that and bought a modern repress a couple of years ago. Sounds very muffled to my ears. Same with a relatively recent copy of VM/'s Moondance.

My vinyl copy dates from the 70s.
