Saw this on eBay-Could be a good buy for someone
I’m assuming it has the phono board inside but would need a psu or similar vintage amp to power it.

Seller refurbished?

Ask them what work they have carried out, and whether that work is warrantied.

I agree with Paul.

A few observations:
The unit must contain some active components as it has a mains lead, with an illegal plug (live an neutral pins not part insulated).
There is a "phono" input suggesting a phono stage is fitted.
Seller refurbished probably means "I made it work" but could easily range from "I fitted a new fuse" to "I replaced all the capacitors, resistors and transistors".

Looking at the sellers listings on eBay, and seeing the number of electrical items which are "not working/spares or repair." I suspect that refurbishment probably means it's been switched on to see if it works, and then wiped down with a damp cloth before it was photographed.

That is an integrated amp, not a preamp, possibly an AP30 from around 1987.

Speaker sockets on the back, tape monitor switch on the front.

It will have an active phono board inside.

If it is still working and hasn't been too drastically 'repaired' then 90 quid is an excellent price.

EDIT: compared to my NVA amp of the same vintage, this one looks to have been well looked-after,
externally anyway.

Just a thought. If the guy selling it thinks it is only a passive preamp - then he hasn't a clue as to what it actually is and any 'refurbishment' will be probably merely cosmetic.

Could be a major bargain for somebody.
