Eight Visatons more... I can feel your pain...
Please feel free to feel mine 😉

I recently bought 6 Visatons, 4 Monacor SPH 220HQs and 2 each of the Audyn Copper Max & Jantzen Alumen Z caps, 12 heavy duty tellurium copper binding posts plus other costly sundries for my Cubix rebuild/upgrade. Thankfully it's turned out be a wonderful investment of time and money and they sound absolutely amazing even if I say so myself 👍

Agreed but most current headsets use Neodymium magnets and if they are anything to go by the results are very encouraging.

Thanks for that. 3 cm soft dome. Will start beaming earlier than a smaller dome but could be crossed over lower (which is of no use really for my project) . The face plate is huge though (110 mm). That makes a difference for me as I try to get the four tweeters on the smallest rounded over dice shape I can. The ones I linked to with neo magnets are only 52 mm diameter.

Well they might sound like a bag of sh*te but you don't know til you give it a go.

Another thought on the used / 2nd hand front:

What about some sets of 5.1 TV surround speakers?
Cost next to nothing on Ebay and you could strip out the tweeters from those.

This is a set for about 30 pounds on Ebay (in UK).
