Does anyone know if the Allo DigiOne will work with Ropieee? If so, is any additional configuration required within the OS, or is it P&P?

According to the Ropiee site, the Allo DigiOne is compatible.

https://ropieee.org/audio_hardware/

This streamer in a headphone setup does benefit from the Ifi SPDIF reclocker on input to the DAC, makes the sound fuller and more liquid.

Excellent device, very high quality.

Thanks mate.

I have one from years ago sat in my sideboard, I was pondering about using it as a source for the Audial S5 until the Pi2AES 2.0 I've ordered arrives.

The Pi3 attached to my DigiOne was dead. No idea what happened to it, but I moved the DigiOne board to a Pi4, configured Ropieee and alles güt.

Sounds great. Will keep me going until the Pi2AES 2.0 arrives.

Have any of you tried the Allo USB Sig? I'm keen to learn what the SQ is like from it. You never really see much about it in forums.

Considered the Allo USB Bridge but then sidetracked onto PC's with Volumio.

The DigiOne SIG is a definite step up from the DigiOne avd I suspect that the Bridge is also very good.

However you can also get a small, fanless PC from Amazon for about the same price.

I will see how the Pi2AES 2.0 is, then give it a go. It's an interesting design using the compute module.

I think I'm really just putting off dropping £2K for an Optical Rendu 🤣

I reckon that all my streaming devices added together cost less than half the price of an optical Rendu.
