Lovely looking pair of stacked Quad ELS53’s.

I’ve always wanted to try a stacked pair. I used to run a stock gold coloured set with a Radford STA25 back in the very early 90’s (VHS case under the rear leg). I bought the amp for £300, and the speakers for £250.

Alas, sold them to fund a wedding and larger mortgage.

They sound way better on their natural state. When sent off for clamps and safety mods, they come back strangled and constricted.

Anyway, I am envious of your Quads. I’d love to hear an NVA amp through these. I’ was never a fan of the Quad II monos.

Would be lovely to have a listening room that could take them.
