Re: TV Series Odd and Si-fi
I really enjoyed Fringe. It was on Netflix for ages, I think I watched the entire series at least twice.
A bit more mainstream was Dexter, a rather different way to look at a serial killer.

I really enjoyed Fringe too, as did my late wife. Have you ever heard the guy playing Walter Bishop interviewed, Col? It comes as quite a shock to hear him using his native Australian accent. Anna Torv, who played Olivia is also Australian.

Never seen Fringe. One to look out for.
I really enjoyed 'Umbrella Academy' recently. Looking forward to the coming Star Trek season with Discovery and Picard.

Re: TV Series Odd and Si-fi
Star Trek fans should try to see "The Orville" which is (in my opinion) a great parody.
It was made by Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) and through the two series (so far) actors and actresses from the "real" Star Trek keep turning up. One of the leads is actually Penny Johnson Jerald who played Capt. Sisko's love interest Kasidy Yates in DS9, Robert Picardo (the emergency holographic doctor in Voyager) is the father of one of the crew, and John Billingsley (Neelix from Voyager) also turns up as a villain. Steven Culp who played Major Hayes in Enterprise appears too, along with Tim Russ (Tuvok), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), and a few others I've forgotten. Ted Danson, Rob Lowe, Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, and Bruce Willis also pop up.
You can tell it's made with love, by a fan, right down to the music. The bigger the Trekkie you are the more in-jokes you'll get, but you don't have to be a rabid fan to enjoy it.

Re: TV Series Odd and Si-fi
Currently reading 'Star Trek Discovery - The Enterprise War'. A spin-off novel from Discovery with a pre-Kirk Enterprise led by Captain Pike and Spock in a very difficult situation.
Great fun and a rollercoaster read!

Talking about Star Trek parodies one of my favourite movies is Galaxy Quest. Also been watching early episodes of Red Dwarf. Forgotten how funny they were.

Re: TV Series Odd and Si-fi
Ah, Red Dwarf, now that was funny!
Came across Space 1999 on Forces TV the other week, I never realised just how shockingly bad some of the "special" effects were.
I'll have to search out The Orville.

Re: TV Series Odd and Si-fi
Started watching 'Avengers Endgame' last night. Got to about halfway and am not too impressed so far.
Perhaps things will pick up a bit later. More tonight.
