Thankfully had a longer break from the rain this afternoon. Have noticed that the river is the highest it has been for nearly two years on my walks. It was not much more than a trickle during the summer and was low during the cold spell earlier in the month.

Yeah the rivers round ere are as full as an egg .

We have had torrential rain for hours with thunder and lightning. Yesterday was not much better and the forecast is bad for tomorrow.

All set to go to Chepstow races but it did not survive the 7.30am inspection, inspite of frost covers. -6, where is this global warming when we need it.
