Mini BMU

Unread post by Latteman » Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:25 am

Great piece of equipment 👍🏼
Because of how it’s supplied it’s possible to change the end socket or even extend the flying lead length.
I was planning to extend the flying lead to 10meters having the mini BMU well away from its family- apart from separation anxiety does any suspect a 10 meter lead to a socket block be degrading in any way
Cheers peter

The only way would be to take it part desolder the lead and re solder a large lead.

I can see no reason why you can't plug a long extension lead in to it and your equipment in to the extension lead

Unfortunately I had a catastrophic transformer melt- my fault- reshaped the case too! Doc replaced the transformer and agreed for me to repair.
So cable is carte blanc so to speak following the original design
