I have never been a drummer, butI always looked forward to the ever changing displays of coloured drum sets in the Premier atrium which you could see from the road. I live in Oadby just along from Wigston.
Sad to see it go - Wickes and Lidl progress - Nah!

Recorded a couple more drum beat ideas (on a digital camera). The first one I posted weeks ago is now in it's infancy as a piece of music. Not sure these two will but we will see.

This first one can be played with the hi hat but I did it on the ride so I don't block the camera with my right arm. As always phone, tablet and laptop speakers don't really play the kick drum that well. Headphones are better.

My drums have changed a bit since the first video. Mounted toms and kick drum are stripped down Pearl Exports - the whole kit is Pearl Export (modified of course) on the next two videos with a Yamaha brass picolo snare. Cymbals are the same Zildjians.

There are jazz influences in this along with other stuff from my crazy brain.

Here's the second one. A bit similar to the first but with some crazy tom triplet action that Bonham made look so easy. I added a drag which makes it not as easy to hear on a digital camera recording.

I played this on the ride cymbal as doing it on the hats is not so easy . It can be done but getting over to the 18" floor tom and back is more difficult. This might be a bit busy for a main repeating drum beat but I will try and get it in a piece of music if it kills me.

You can see my mounted toms slowly bouncing up and down. That is intentional and I will get to the ins and outs of that later. Think along the lines of the slowly bouncing speaker isolation I played about with.

Actually you won't be hearing anymore cos I can't be arsed. Bye bye. I am now leaving this forum (in fact all forums) for good. Somebody else will have to keep this forum going because quite frankly I am tired of doing it. I find it quite rude the amount of people who lurk and hardly ever post. It's like all take and no giving. Well you can all feck off, I'm not wasting my energy anymore. Bye.

Nice youtube clips. Drum beat 3 seemed to be more technically challenging than drum beat 2 - as it seemed to require fast and accurate left hand movements to pull it off.

Musically I enjoyed both of them.

I enjoyed both but preferred the second. Compares well to what I saw from the drummer of one of the world's biggest ever bands on Wednesday and it did not cost me£50.
