Looking around for info of that Hudson bass, it appears to be a copy of the Cort Curbouw - possibly made in the Cort factory.

Hudson is Cranes of Cardiff's own brand (although I got mine on eBay) and from what I've been able to find out, someone at Crane's is a friend of someone at Tanglewood and he gets Tanglewood to make them up for him. If you look at the Tanglewood Canyon III you'll see the similarity. The top, by the way, is not so much a veneer, as a cap. It's about a third of the bass's actual thickness.
I walk past Cranes quite often. The window display is always impresive. The famous Spillers record shop is not far away.slinger wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 7:47 pmHudson is Cranes of Cardiff's own brand (although I got mine on eBay) and from what I've been able to find out, someone at Crane's is a friend of someone at Tanglewood and he gets Tanglewood to make them up for him.
