What extras are these? Are they compulsory extras or optional?CN211276 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 9:04 am Being ripped off is part of life and does not just apply to hifi. Last year we booked a fjords cruise for next month at a very reasonable price. It is only now that we are being informed about all these additional extras we had no idea were coming. We have not been on a cruise before and were probably a bit naive. I think this is worse than what is going on in the hifi industry.
Tube Audio Lab appear to be another one doing it as a sideline.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 11:40 pmBut are they companies as such or just a side venture from the main job (Lurcher is this as well) or a hobby extension. Falcon is a good point but does he really sell to you at trade I doubt it. Probably the nearest is Audio Origami. Colin can't make up his mind how and what he wants to sell, it changes every few weeks, but that is part of the fun of him, the unpredictability. He seems to have taken on a distributor according to his latest post, so no he doesn't comply with my terms.TroutFisher wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 11:28 pm A couple of other direct sellers. Same terms as NVA. Audio Origami who specialises in tone arms and other stuff. Paul Haynes who does power supplies and other stuff. Obviously our own Colin Wonfer. Falcon Acoustics speakers. That’s just off the top of my head. To be honest their are loads out there.
Perhaps we should start a club for non rip-off direct sellers, like organic food or real ale, they have to comply with the non rip-off organic / real hi-fi rules.
Les will never retire. He has scaled back a lot and his product line very much reduced. And he does not post on pfm anymore -asked TonyL to delete his account because he had enough of the ridiculous people who frequent hifi forums.
