NVA Brexit prep

Not a clue which way helps or hurts me most, and to be honest I am past caring. I will state my own position again. I was very happy with the EEC, I voted for it in the 70's ref. I have watched with horror as Brussels was created, parliament, bureaucracy, more and more ego power trippers, middle men, and slurpers, and cost = daft.

Anyway they keep talking about a NI backstop, well I am looking at a Sidcup backstop. If nothing changes commercially, but hopefully getting rid of Brussels out of our lives then I don't need to change (yet), but if we are out then my hassle free direct market area is gone, so I am contemplating appointing distributors for each EU country, which is the way other companies do it.

So if any are watching and want to put their name down as possible please do, and for my EU customers recommend me one and give me contact details.

Ta!

Can the EU stop you listing on various national Ebay sites? Franky I can't wait to be rid of them. If I had voted remain I would be an avid Brexit enthusiast by now. It's clear they are trying to humiliate the UK. EU is an arrogant unelected dictatorship. Of course if the vote is overturned that is probably were we are heading as Parliament will have lost voter respect. NI has fuck all to do with it and just an excuse. Couldn't put a hard border up if we wanted as IRA proved. Project fear still at full tilt which BBC reporting doesn't help. I would say :hbs: and walk. Won't be a fraction as bad as the Banking Crisis. People have short memories.

If there is no trade agreement I don't think the distributor situation will arise. Brexit will not get through Parliament and there will either be a second referendum or a general election.

People are kidding themselves if rejecting an agreement means anything other than no deal. Govt will not vote itself out of power or vote for another referendum. There is no majority for both in Parliament. Can't see how no deal can be blocked since parliament voted for article 50 and there will be no majority to reverse it. Only possibility I see if negotiations break down is to start again for a trade agreement with some sort of delay. There are a number of politicians stirring this up who just won't accept democracy in spite of saying otherwise. It now transpires that it would actually be easier to deal with no deal at customs rather than agreement that they don't know about yet. This is because some preparation has been made for the former while none can be made for the later until a deal is made. Just the reality of the situation rather some peoples fantasy westminster bubble world.

Just wait for the job losses.
Wait for the banks to move out.
Wait for London to lose its status as a financial centre
Wait for the ports to be jammed back up the motorways
Just wait for clearance through customs on your foray to spain
Just wait for the usa to start dumping on you.
Then youll have a price for petty nationalism

I'll will wait and see. I expect a transitional period nothing more. (if we do actually leave at all).
Is the rest of the world outside of the EU crippled with all these issues? Several other countries within the EU are on the cusp of leaving given half a chance and once (if) our cash evaporates it may well push them over the edge.
British people used to have a "take on the world" attitude and had a spine, what the hell happened?

You’ll have to clarify the pejorative terms used.
What exactly has changed?
We are part of a trading bloc of world importance.
We have a say in its policies and direction.
The UK by itself cannot compare with the might of china or the usa.
So we are the fourth richest nation, but in europe we are equal in trading terms with them.

It's no longer a trading block but a political project. Is it that important? Take Germany and UK out and it doesn't amount to so much. We don't have that much say as we generally disagree with the other 27 and get outvoted. If Cameron hadn't been patted on the head and told to go away when he asked for end of free movement we wouldn't of had Brexit.
