Ive had mine for two or so years now, but just got round to wondering why there’s a “tape” input, surely left over from last century?
Though I use it for the output from my phono2.

Also what is the “direct”input for?
I’ve a fear of blowing something up if I ise it wrongly.

And finally, it would be really good if the volume control were indented so you could feel which direction it was pointing, as the mark on it is quite difficult to see.

Otherwise, it is a fine piece of kit.

The direct input bypasses the input selector. If used it must be the only input.

I marked the indentation on the volume knob with a dot of Tipp-ex. Makes it much easier to see.

Tape out is from last century, but still says what it means, it is an non vc controlled out. So use it for headphone amp or any record function. Do not use it as an input.
