Remote control
I cant help notice the amount of people who rely on remote control. Or wont even consider a product if it hasn't got it.
No wonder this country is full of over weight lazy people. Life is too easy these days.

Apart from making us lazy it is an added complication that adds cost and noise on to the psu. Get off that sofa.

Re: Remote control
50/50 here, remote for volume, old fashioned physical switch for inputs and everything else.
Mine's the one on the left.

Re: Remote control
Lack of remote, in Hifi gear, makes no difference to me. Only remote I have is for Cd player but use of it is very, very occasional.

Re: Remote control
I'm about 50/50 too, if a piece of kit has it that's ok and if not I'm not fussed. The only ones I really use are things like TV and CD transport but if anyone finds a wife remote with a mute function, please let me know

They look almost good enough to eat. Not agricultural enough for me though- where's the grease nipple ?

Re: Remote control
95% of my listening these days is through my Squeezebox Touch whether it be internet radio, Spotify, or streaming from my NAS. I use the Squeezebox controller to adjust the volume so no need for any other remote control. The only time I adjust the volume dial on my P20 is when I occasionally use my CD player direct (for old times sake).
P20 + A30 + LS3 + SSC + Squeezebox Touch + Yiang Sheng DAC-01A + Sony BDP-S350 + Synology DS118 NAS + Cubettes sat on top of 70cm Atacama stands + Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 ohm headphones
