I've got one. I used to read about these people claiming to find rare stuff in charity shops. Well it never happened to me.
Anyway, I used to buy records from a shop in Newtown called Rainbow Records. Best thing I got from there was Nucleus "W'ell Talk...for £5 on Vertigo. The guy who owned it sold the shop off and just sold records from markets in the surrounding towns instead.
So one day I'm walking down the Main Street and he shouts across to me "I've got some stuff you might be interested in"
So I duly trot across and have a look.
This is what I found and bought. Both Gnidrolog albums plus the insert for "Lady Lake". Arthur Brown "Galactic Zoo Dossier"
Quicksand "Home is Where I Belong" on Dawn and some other stuff I can't remember. £5 each for those!
Anyone who knows there stuff will realise how much they are worth!
Couldn't believe my luck!
No doubt Missy will top it though.

Yeah, but that is not proper digging: the records actually CAME TO YOU.

Blind Child isn't too interested in my-dick-is-bigger-than-yours FINDS.

Ideally, if anyone has any story about a queer/dangerous dig, or having to deal with desperate/bizarre peeps.

Those make for the best stories.

Anyone dug Birmingham?

I may be alone here but I hate vinyl diggin :(

In a perfect world ... ‘shop’. Hundreds on LPs are lined up on nice shelf’s so I can see ‘all’ the cover art. Walk around select 4 or 5 and go pay for them..... all civilised like. :)

No need to take that tone Missy.
Nothing to do with anyone's penis!
Just saying that in all of the years of buying second hand vinyl I only got "lucky" once.
Perhaps you should be more specific in what you are asking in the first place?

I got the orig Gnidrolog with the textured cover.
For "Lady Lake" I have the Si-Wan reissue vinyl.

What is so special about the Lady Lake insert?

Missy, if you don't play nicely with people they wont play with you anymore, and they all want to play with you - they all (maybe not Karny) respect your knowledge.

Just enjoy your skill and ability.

If your talking the bins under the racks in used record shops, Never found anything worth having. People who run those establishments rarely miss anything collectable. Now there are few decent shops due to a certain online auction outfit. Anyway I hated crawling on the floor in dark stinky record shop corners.
