My friend has some jbl 600 ti loudspeakers. The rubber around the drivers is starting to perish. Is it worth getting them refurbished? If so, any recommendations for people who can carry out such a service. Especially in the NW of England.

Frank Cookson is your man. He lives on the Wirral.
He recently repaired the surrounds on my 15" Tannoys (he specialises in Tannoy and JBL) very reasonable charges too, and a brilliant job, they sound perfect again.
Look for Cooky on AOS or PFM. alternatively if you PM me I have his telephone number and email address.
