Listened to Colosseum "Time on Our Side" 2014

Not prog but jazzbluesfusion. Very good cd!

Barbara Thompson amazing on sax. (She is Hiseman's wife, no???)

Barbara Thompson is Hiseman's wife. She was forced to stop playing around 2000 due to Parkinsons disease, but managed to control it with medication and is still actively making music.

Check out the Paraphernalia albums with the amazing Dill Katz on bass and Pete Lemer (nice guy, met him after a gig once) on keys.

All of Barbara Thompson's albums are worth a listen. She is an amazing saxophonist and composer.
Saw her with Colosseum on their second to last gig. Although frail she still managed to blast it out for most of the gig.

Is it true that woodwind players get unhealthy? Germs & funk in the instruments; enlarged hearts from the strain of all that heavy blowing.
So many die relatively young.

I got a live Colosseum (Ruisberg '70??) or mebbe BBC live where John Peel asks and is informed that Barbara could not make it due to illness.

Instruments can be a bitch - my neice is taking up violin and its not comfortable and hard on the fingerpads (until callouses develope.) Even keyboards can fuckup your hands in time.
