Do we have any hidden gems with members on here? I’ve got modern turntable but do the golden oldies still make the black discs sing?
Made me think reading the below....

And all of them use a bit of polished coal skating around a groove in a bit of soft plastic
I'll stick to me Duals thanks. The seized up 1009SK2 the Doc gave me last year now has a cheap period plinth coming and it'll get the service of its life to get it going again properly, thanks to online pal Klaus on the Dualcan website. Judging by its bigger brother I have here, it'll be another pleasure inducing piece of audio playback equipment

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

Re: Buried Treasure ......turntables
That's very kind of you to say Hemmo.
In reality it's far too much and I will be thinning it out later in the year/next year.
I have too much money tied up in them so I'm inclined to keep a max of four. The Voyd, Techy SL110, GL75 and an LP12 as a demo unit for my sub-chassis. All the rest will be sold off, excepting the P25 which in reality is my wife's, so I'd better not sell that, unless I swop it with the Techy SL120 or PL71?

How much do you want for the PL71, I am missing my one.
Nostalgia really as I had my one for so long, and I will hide it from her.

Re: Buried Treasure ......turntables
Not sure if you'd like mine Doc. It has some wear on the pseudo chrome of the control panel and the plinth been stained a darker colour and then Danish oiled but I'd certainly swop it for a P50 SA.

Re: Buried Treasure ......turntables
I have quite a few turntables in my possession. Nothing really special but I do like my Empire 598. I have a couple of Sondeks. They may be considered iconic but they're nothing to shout about imo.
