Savvy here. For convincing me that streamers are not foo and do make a difference. The sound from my system has improved a lot as a result.

Alfi - answered loads of my questions in an honest and knowledgeable way. Sold me some of his in sole spring replacement thingies and i intend to send him some bits and bobs for fettling in the near future.

An all round top fella. Thanks Alfi

+1 for Alfi - got to "know" him as a result of buying a plattamat years ago.
I think that first and foremost he is an enthusiast, who happens to make a few products in a genuine interest in improving the LP12.

With Alfi, I can't help thinking that he would be capable of designing and selling a turntable from scratch that would out-perform anything originally "designed" by Hamish Robertson.

But then maybe his ambitions don't lie in that area? Which would be fair enough.

Edit: put designed in "'s - as quite rightly pointed out by DSJR below.

Hamish basically 'stole' the LP12 concept from Thorens (layout, spring positions, platter diameters give or take a thou or two, motor position etc.) so I'd have no guilt on that score. Amazing how basically decent a TD150 can sound (pitch aside) when mounted in an old Linn plinth, allowing for different arm-board width...
