Re: General banter
A nice Sunday lunch out, and now I'm listening to a bit of Rush via my new Synology NAS.

Listening to Jesse Cook - The Blue Guitar Sessions on cd whilst watching the snooker on tv. I did take my neighbours Jack Russell for a long walk early this morning, he has boundless energy.

Re: General banter
I am "actively waiting" for my Starter Set. Richard was quick - but the postal service is gigantily slow - I think it must be based on rowing boats along with horses and carriages.
Actively waiting means fretting (probably unnecessarily) and changing things (also probably unnecessarily) in my present set-up. This means trying an old interconnect, I had previously rejected (and now it is wonderful) and changing input tubes - also to something I had previously rejected.
After that and during there have been small repairs to the house, playing with the dog, listening to Blues Radio from San Diego and.....fretting.

Building phono stages, just had bacon (pancetta) sandwich, off to sort out the rubbish for collection tomorrow. Sorting paper from plastic is a pain.

Re: General banter
I've just been rebuilding the power supply of my second Marantz CD73 which has started to give trouble (notorious for dry joints) and I found one too! As I had most here I've replaced a number of the PS caps, I just need a few more which should arrive mid week to complete, so it should be rocking again soon - we'll see?
