Royd Audio (new)

Unread post by Classicrock »

Has the new 'Royd Audio' gone bust? Web site has disappeared. I have to sadly say hope so from what I heard at the National Audio show over 2 years ago. We are crying out for decent British made speakers and they are thin on the ground with much production moved to China.

Sitting here listening to a pair of Cube 1, I have to say that they are much more than decent. They deserve a much wider audience. Too many folks just don't know what they are missing...

If NVA were the only brit speakers around they would be a rarer beast than I thought. LOL. I suppose nearest thing to Royd would be Rega. The new Royds certainly weren't the real deal. The trouble is I see new brands appear at ridiculous asking prices only to disappear again. When will some people learn.

Never heard a Neat speaker that I would describe as sounding decent. Most of my favourite brands have gone or bought by the Chinese.

I auditioned the Motive SX2 last year. They were superb.

I like his patter......or should I say, lack of.

Great price, great build, great punter reviews.
