Re: The Docs 'ex-B&W' Doc Modded speakers
Here's a bad piccie. I can't use them anywhere else in this room, but they seriously don't seem to care and I don't, as I listen in near to mid field anyway up here.

They're badly cut Celotex insulation panels. The intention is to lift them clear of the worktop and get the tweeters at ear level (I need that now). It may be clumsy, but it works well for me.

I must remember that for the next time I want to make imitation Yellow Pages. (You never know!)_D_S_J_R_ wrote:They're badly cut Celotex insulation panels.

Re: The Docs 'ex-B&W' Doc Modded speakers
It's the best I could do at the time and they fit the B&W carcasses. I also have some Studiosound isolators, a foam block with rubber lined steel plate on top. The speakers wobble badly on these and apologies, pre-programming about wobbly speakers, plus a vague sound in actuality, prevents me using them here...

Re: The Docs 'ex-B&W' Doc Modded speakers
My workroom, my rules! I didn't have any decent bricks to hand, the Celotex is light and stiff and I had some available as an offcut from loft duties some years back. The speakers don't wobble, so fine by me for now...
