So it is either:
the speakers
the source
the installation
or the room

well that covers every possibility
Never mind though - get pissed and ignore the sound

My old mate tells me they have a demo one at his store and they've sold at least one as well. He says it's a very good amp, but it's still a Naim, for good or bad. It's stupid price makes the likes of his £45k D'Agostino integrated look positively beer money. Nice thing was, he was genuinely interested when I told him of my freelance involvement with NVA (like me, he remembers the Pa-ice? amp of nearly forty years ago). Their low cost amps are Quad and apparently a QSP sees off other more expensive amps quite easily - well it is pretty well a 909 after all.

Remember chaps, Naim need to make a 'story' about their new expensive components as the internals are still very ordinary, hence the spring-suspension on circuit boards, big Burndy leads on some power supplies when the regulation should be right next to the boards being regulated (common engineering practise, not mere opinion) and don't get me started about deliberately loose sockets on speakers, or pins on mains plugs...

That poor OP has hopefully finally realised that the audiophool journey never ends and gets more and more expensive. The musical journey though, is quite another thing entirely.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...
