The man on the Clapham omnibus is just a phrase used to define "Britain's proverbial reasonable person"
The Man on the Clapham Omnibus, to a lawyer, is synonymous with the pinnacle of reason in humanity: an ordinary London transit rider as representative of all rational thought and action. To members of the court at the time of this term's conception, the appellation is nothing more than an inside joke, one that has persisted to become a wondrous curio of the legal realm, like a "speedy trial" or "personal responsibility."

Is that the same as "the Mondeo driver". This seems to be a political one.

Take no notice Permed One. As D.Q. has been banned from every other hifi forum he has to pick arguments with members of his "home" forum now. It's either that or apparently his head explodes.
Facts dear boy -

I have not been banned from every forum .

I was banned from Wigwam for apparently being RD .

I left AOS and PFM . I was not banned .

And I do not pick arguments . Invariably it goes like this .

some says something silly

I highlight why it is silly

they choose not to agree with me and pick an argument .

I proceed to win said argument ;)

I'm sure what you meant to say is that some[one] says something that in your opinion is silly

And you do pick them, otherwise you would ignore them, wouldn't you. :)
