"Shirley Bassey - Goldfinger" gets my nod.

Any thoughts.......A certain vein runs through them all but difficult to pinpoint what it is.

'Live and let die'

Best of recent years was 'Skyfall' but who even remembers Garbage (The world is not enough) or Madonna (Die another day).

Honorable mention : Sheena Easton 'For your eyes only'.

Maybe it's my ears, but I always hear the chorus as "Let the Skyfaw, when it crumbuws".

Pity that.

And the winner was - Skyfall !

I am sure Adele has boundless talent but her voice grates on me and her accent in Skyfall made it even worse.

I like 'Live and let Die' and 'You only live twice" personally. Two very different Bond tunes but both have their plus points.

The best I ever heard Live And Let die played was when I got conned into going to see James Last live, many moons ago. Benny Bendorff on bass (and vocals i.i.r.c.) Barry Roy Reeves on drums, and the incomparable "Big" Jim Sullivan on guitar. It was a huge sound and it rocked big time. Best gig I never wanted to go to.

I had the opportunity to see big Jim doing a guitar demo. Certainly a big character. He described a score he was given to play as 'looking like fly shit'.
