Where I live is a hive of activity when Corrie are filming some of the outside scenes, and Audrey Roberts house is just a few doors down the road. It's a nice little earner when Granada use your house for filming, I wish they'd knock on my door and ask. My sister-in-laws' house was used a few years ago for a menage-a-trois storyline with Mike Baldwin, Fred Elliott and some bird, and they earned a few grand for just a couple of days or so filming.

The folks that watch this shit are so engrossed in the utter tripe fantasy story lines they do not realise they are being completely brainwashed.

Alfi.
DQ seems to have successfully resisted the brainwashing. Maybe he's inoculated himself by watching so many.
Developed two brains

There is a daily reality show in Holland called Utopia.

15 people shut off from the world in order to create a Perfect Society.
Trouble is that they are all narcissistic morons.

Soap opera's were developed in the tradition of brechtian social realist drama and were the first two show working class life sympathetically on TV . They have moved somewhat away from that now but they are still well crafted good tv .

coronation st is fine situational realist drama with a humerous edge , emmerdale is comedy gold and have you seem the women on hollyoaks ;)

Sorry but I have to disagree with you there, the acting is poor, direction is poor and the story lines are so unrealistic. Someone gets murdered, raped or has a nervous breakdown every week.

Sorry Daniel, but I just cant stand it.
