Thinking of buying a personal amp from NVA. Anyone here using one?

It's a 10 Watts per channel stereo amp, but driving a 6.3mm socket in the case of the 'P' version. LOADS more current as well as voltage output potential than basic op-amps give. There was/is an expensive Grado headphone amp that was basically a cheap op-amp potted in to a neat wooden box. Someone took one apart and published the pics, but it was a long time ago.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

Yes, I have the AP10H. It has no difficulty driving high impedance Beyerdynamic T1 'phones; indeed it drives them rather better than that maker's own A2 headphone amplifier. The AP10H chucks out music in a lovely warm, big-hearted manner. It's hard not to enjoy the music with the AP10H, even before considering its very modest price. It's not quite as good at portraying detail or portrayal of acoustic 'space', compared to the headphone amp in my recently acquired Hegel H160, but musically, the AP10H hits the spot.

If only it had remote control.

Anyway, buy the AP10H with confidence.

Hegel 160. Hmmm - nice !

Must give the headphone circuit in my HD12 a good try-out. Probably the same circuit.

It's a great little amp,i use mine every day in my PC system. It has worked well with all the speakers i have put on it.I also use it for all my headphone listening these days.I have owned ten head amps and have sold all of them now, don't even bother to check out new ones anymore. It just has that NVA lack of irritation factor..

Probably not the same circuit. Hegel state that the headphone output bits are driven from the H160's main amplifier. It's a shame that they didn't manage to make its headphone output sound as good as the rest of the amp - it is good by any standard, but does not pluck at the heart strings like the AP10H does.
