The rules have always been all white but appears they are getting more petty as some colour was tolerated in the past. I think they've got it in for Nick Kyrgios but frankly they would be better punishing him for bouncing his racket into the crowd. At least he can't be called boring. Tennis these days is far from boring - certainly the matches I've seen and you probably get a better view on HD TV than actually being there. Great effort from Heather Watson - Serena got a bit lucky.

I quite like to watch but am not what you'd call a tennis fan. Personally I like the fact that they have to tow the line re kit colour, there are enough prima-donnas out there already, it won't do them any harm and why would that stop their personality, or lack of it, showing through?
The one thing I think they really need to stamp on is the bloody awful screeching and squalking from the likes of Sharapova, (or whatever the bloody hell her name is), and a few others, I just can't watch a match with that shit going on.

Grunting in tennis has quite a long history. I remember a Clive James article about Dan Maskell and wmbldn (Dan didn't pronounce the vowels) talking about Jimmy Connor's new tactic being the early grunt which would fool the opponent into going for the grunt and not the ball.

I think we've all suffered from the "early grunt" at one time or another.
