Working at home today and dare not put my headphones on in case I miss my delivery of what I hope will be LS5 speaker cable and some SSC...

They tried to deliver yesterday but I was out. With a bit of luck he'll get here before the Mrs gets home so I can switch the cables whilst also avoiding the inevitable 'what do you need new wires for?' question.

Know what you mean Rich... I need to hope that my neighbours sign for my LS6 cables... it'd be good to fit them and have good play at the weekend :) But if not, hey ho!

Ok, so they arrived! Plumbed in straight away... it's awkward inflexible stuff to route around a fireplace but we've gotten there and we might just get away with it not being noticed by the cable inspector when she returns!

Playing some Younger Brother - Vaccine now.

It's like my system just grew a great big pair of hairy :Bllocks:

Where did all that bass come from???? Was it hiding there all along but couldn't get out?

Having the biwire was well worth it so I could get rid of the awful homemade jumpers I was using to the tweeters.

I've got to get back to doing some work now so I'll leave a CD running on a lower volume to let them run in but they've definitely put hairs on the chest of my rs5 for sure.

Yup! I went from LS1 to LS5 when I had the A40's, it was amazing how much bass the horns produced.

A bit of The Zombies 'Odyssey and Oracle' playing now... Very nice, really brought out all the vocal harmonies in this album.
