Help! My CD player is stuck to its shelf.

Yes folks, I'm looking for any helpful household hints which will enable me to separate a CD player from a glass shelf without compromising the integrity of said CD player or shelf.
Gentle pressure hasn't worked. The shelf has lifted up with the CD. Trying to lift the CD whilst pushing the shelf has not worked either.

You need to break the seal between the CD player's rubber feet and the glass a thin flat bladed screw driver or steel rule should do the trick

There's one solution here...
http://www.avforums.com/threads/stuck.840020/ but the more usual answer is to use a kitchen spatula, putty knife, or a palette knife it appears.

Butter knife also works! I don't know what the feet are made of but they left quite a residue on the glass. Thanks all.

Stick a small bumpon on the glass under where the feet will be, it will stop the problem.

CD has now gone to storage - replace by the mac mini. But I'll bear that in mind if/when I get it out again.

I will send baby DQ round , he needs something to break now he as just broken the cantilever on my ZYX cartridge
Anybody want to buy an absolute pain up the arse large 18 month old toddler who already thinks he knows better than anybody else in the house ?
