OK, so I stole the title from Spike Lee, it's probably better than stealing it from Spike Jones, or even Spike Jonze. Basically, (blame Jammy) this post is in response to a comment in one of my other posts, about blues music, and rather than treat you to another of my long rambling posts all in one go I thought I'd use this one to pitch some artists at you one or two at a time. Hopefully you won't get bored, at least not as quickly as usual.
First up, Michael Burks - He was a big man, and a big talent. There are some similarities with Robert Cray, but only in the style, not the delivery. Sadly, Michael died of a heart attack last year, aged 54.

Next, some acoustic blues courtesy of Keb Mo. Keb's been around for years, he's won three Grammy's, he's collaborated with Martin Scorsese, and the Muppets. He's a well kept srecret.

Re: Mo' Better Blues
I like that Michael Burks. Really proves that less can be more. Not flash, seems to be playing half the notes that usual suspects manage but musical as hell. As usual, thanks for he link :D
