Re: BEST SOUND - VINYL OR CD....?
This is a simple question to answer Vinyl always CD's only good for background music when you can't really hear the horrible noise they make. I remember when my daughter started listening to my music she would sit their for hours if I was playing vinyl but when I put on a CD she would toddle away that’s how young she was when I asked why she walk away she just said it sound bad how does the saying go out of the mouths of babe’s or something like that.

At the moment i prefer my SB Touch with spotify over either of your choices.Plus if the laptop's running, which it usually is,i can listen to every bit of music in my entire collection without getting of my arse... never have to wipe the dust of the internet.. still, time will tell.

Well after the last two comments I thought I'd better get my vote for VINYL in!
To be honest, CD can sound very nice indeed but waaaaay too many just sound completely shite, almost unlistenable, that seems to happens a lot less with vinyl.

Re: BEST SOUND - VINYL OR CD....?
vinyl, but whether or not that is down to relative amounts of money I have spent on vinyl deck and cd player is another matter.
Vinyl remained my main source because when cd was introduced it sounded crap (much like direct drive imo ) and I had a large investment in vinyl - buggered if I was going to buy the same stuff all over again
