Well its the equivilent of premier league football [pdc] and scottish football [bdo] and plenty of people watch the latter , so I can see your point :D

also Martin wolfy adams for illogical reasons gets on my *****.

they can't amalgamate as i dont think 1 current bdo player would ever qualify for a pdc tournamount .

Petanque is the game for me. Regulars at my local built a piste in,what was, the childrens play area just over a year ago. Addictive game :D
We just finished a game at 11.50 on new years eve - just in time to get a beer in

Whilst we're on the subject of pub games, bat and trap anyone? A game peculiar to Kent I believe, and not unlike Guy describes above likely to go on way past closing time, if we were lucky. Our local league used to host the All-England Championships...with teams from 30 or 40 miles away competing. The Missus and me were mixed doubles champions 3 years out of 4 when we played. Darts, Pool, Bat and Trap, and the Pub Quiz team...been in all of those, til they shut our pub.

Its a great shame the good old british Pubs are in decline...How could they survive - the odds are stacked against them.......Bloody shame.
But i still have a couple good locals within walking distance...............30 min brisk walk there, 1hr 30 min slight stagger return..............
