These are old (ish) Grado SR125 Headphones, the bigger brother to the popular SR80.
We had Grado SR125s many years ago, I can remember them being very good sounding headphones. Not sure how they compare to the SR80 though.
If your after warm delicate sounding headphones, then stay away from the SR125, they were born to boogie!

Jammy you are going over the top not everything is bullshit and marketing, there are good products, and I agree with Shane Grado make very good headphones.
Re: Another good Grado Headphone.
They do indeed - I've had my SR80's for quite some time now and they're quite wonderful. When I bought my Graham Slee Solo phones amp I compared it (using my SR80's) with the basic Stax rig. The Stax set-up was of a similar price to the Grado/Slee set-up and I felt the latter was superior by some margin. Nailing my colours to the mast here, I've never really seen what all the fuss is about Stax headphones - a friend of mine has a pair which cost well in excess of £1k but I really cannot get excited by them.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:Grado make very good headphones.

Re: Another good Grado Headphone.
I must admit I'm quite happy sitting here listening to Satie's Gnossiennes on my Sony MDR 7506 cans. I bought them a couple of years ago for mastering on the home studio but they double as my late-night listening device.
Now, of course, I want to investigate a pair of Grados...and next comes the dedicated headphone amp...and then...well, you all know the story.
