I just heard about Jimmy Buffet's passing. He was a favourite of mine, ever since I picked up "A White Sport Coat and A Pink Crustacean" in the seventies; He was a poet.

OBIT

I used to cover this one...

Gary Wright, Spooky Tooth Leader and ‘Dream Weaver’ Hitmaker, Dead at 80

OBIT

He was a real talent, but never achieved the status I thought he should have. I was lucky enough to see him live, with his band "Wonderwheel".

Bruce Guthro, Canadian singer songwriter who stepped in to do the vocals for Scottish Rockers Runrig when Donny Munro quit the band to go into politics.

Rip Bruce, you did a good job.

Farewell Ilya Kuryakin.

I also grew up with 'The Man From UNCLE' and the cool Russian spy was so much more interesting than Napoleon Solo.

It was also fun to see McCallum in occasional cameo roles like on 'Babylon 5' and he had a good sense of humour and comic timing.
Also 'Sapphire & Steel' with Joanna Lumley was a great Dr Who - style show that should have run longer.

Another icon gone.
